"Director, co-writer, and four-time Academy Award nominee Ethan Hawke visits Trustees Theater for a special screening of Wildcat, his new film exploring the life and art of Savannah's own Flannery O'Connor. Starring Maya Hawke (Stranger Things), Wildcat invites the audience to weave in and out of the celebrated Southern Gothic writer's mind as she ponders the great questions of her writing: Can scandalous art still serve God? Does suffering precede all greatness? And can illness be a blessing? Wildcat shares O'Connor's story of being diagnosed with lupus at 24, the same disease that took her father's life, and her desperation to become an acclaimed writer.
A Q&A with Hawke immediately follows the screening. Tickets are $8 for SCAD Card holders, $10 seniors, students, and military, and $15 for the general public.
