The Flannery O'Connor Home Foundation will provide hot apple cider,
a holiday cocktail, and treats as a fundraiser for the Childhood Home
and our many events.
This year we will have the pleasure of hearing this beloved
Christmas tale read by local author H.S. Cross!
H.S. Cross is a novelist who grew up in Michigan and spent her childhood in the theater. She studied History and Literature at Harvard and then began teaching at K-12 schools in New York City, in particular at Friends Seminary. She has published three novels, all linked to a fictional boys' school in interwar England: Wilberforce and Grievous, published by FSG, and most recently Amanda, published by Europa.
All are available from local and online booksellers, and for Wilberforce and Amanda, on audiobook. She has called Savannah home for the last five years, and she runs a monthly book group in the Green-Meldrim House sponsored by St. John's Church and open to all. When she isn't writing, she can be found tutoring middle and high school students,
walking her dogs, or swimming in the Moon River.
We can't wait to see you on December 6th! As always, please email us with any questions: info@flanneryoconnorhome.org.
